His English book "Reading the Muslim Mind" by the American trust publication company, was, and still is, a very successful display of true Islam to its readers, both Muslim and nonMuslim.
His Arabic book "Thus Shall I Stand Before God" (Bihatha Alqallah) was a stunning success in the Arab world and could garner two hundred thousand US dollars for the education fund of the Islamic Center of Southern California, and eighty thousand Egyptian pounds for various Egyptian charities.
Dr. Hassan Hathout was a well accomplished man of letters recognized in the Arab World. He was one of the few people who would speak Arabic without committing grammatical mistakes. He was a poet, his poetry book (Diwan) "Wounds and Pleasures" (Girah Wa Afrah) gained him recognition as a first class poet in the Arab world. His mastery of the Arabic language is widely appreciated. He contributed innumerable writings, broadcasts and television appearances in the Arab world that have always been tremendously appreciated.
